Privacy Policy
Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-06-17 · spokecast.com
This policy explains what Spokecast collects, why, and how it is handled. It covers two kinds of data: your account data, and the recipient data you upload to run a send. They are treated differently, and this policy says how.
1. Account data we collect
- Account profile: your name, email, and password hash.
- Production material: the spokesperson clips and voice samples you record, the scripts you write, the branding and disclaimers you set, and the videos the Service renders for you.
- Billing: your credit balance and transaction history. Card details are handled by our payment processor; Spokecast does not store full card numbers.
- Usage: logs and basic, privacy-friendly analytics that help keep the Service reliable and secure.
2. Recipient data you upload
When you upload a recipient list (names, phone numbers, and the personalization fields you provide), Spokecast processes that data on your behalf and under your instructions, solely to produce and deliver the videos you request. For that data, you are the controller and Spokecast is the processor. Spokecast does not sell it, does not use it to build its own marketing lists, and does not repurpose it.
3. How we use data
Spokecast uses the data above to render your videos, host your share links, run your account and billing, keep the Service secure, and meet legal obligations. Producing a video may route your material through vetted third-party infrastructure and AI-processing subprocessors that operate under written contract and on Spokecast's instructions.
4. Compliance attestations
When you certify a send or an upload (for example, that your list has consent, or that you hold rights to uploaded media), Spokecast records that certification, including who certified it, when, the exact text shown, and the related scope. These records are evidence of compliance and are retained for at least four years, even after an account closes.
5. Retention
Spokecast keeps account and production data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account material; some records (billing history and compliance attestations) are retained where law or legitimate business need requires.
6. Security
Spokecast protects data with access controls, encryption in transit, hashed credentials, and least-privilege handling of uploads and recipient data. No system is perfectly secure, but Spokecast works to limit exposure and to respond promptly to incidents.
7. Sharing
Spokecast does not sell personal data. Spokecast shares data only with the subprocessors described above, with your payment processor for billing, and where required by law or to protect rights and safety.
8. Your choices
You can view and update your account information in your dashboard, export or delete your production material, and contact Spokecast to exercise rights available to you under applicable law. Recipients who want their data handled differently should contact the campaign that sent to them, since that campaign controls the list.
9. Cookies and analytics
Spokecast uses essential cookies for sign-in and a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not track you across other sites.
10. Changes and contact
Spokecast may update this policy; material changes take effect on notice. Privacy questions go to privacy@spokecast.com or support@spokecast.com.
